Sistema Solar is a series of documentaries about the current universe of Catalan music, explained by its protagonists. In each episode, we explore an artist and their cosmos, embarking on a 3.0 journey through the musical galaxy of Catalunya.

Approach
We integrated live-action footage with AI-generated imagery and crafted a dreamlike solarized aesthetic that expanded the narrative beyond interviews and performances.
Outcome
The final result was a cohesive visual identity carried across 17 episodes. Each musician had their own universe and color scheme, so it was important to balance this with the overall look and feel of the series.
Through compositing, motion design, and automation, these transitions became moments of immersion—allowing audiences to step into the emotional and imaginative landscapes behind each artist's story.
Custom workflow and expressions
I built a custom workflow in After Effects with expressions that referenced a master color control in the colorama effect. This way, I could update the palettes easily if there were changes in art direction.
This streamlined production and gave the team the flexibility to iterate quickly throughout the six-month schedule.
